House Found - No Sale!

"I'm writing today to talk about Chad. My wife and I were referred to Chad through another realtor friend of ours and were told he would be a great fit for us for his great knowledge of the East Side, and his incredible work ethic and devotion to his clients.

We've learned this was an understatement. We met with Chad about 4 weeks ago, and were a bit impressed simply by the fact that he agreed to meet us all the way up in Canyon Park in Bothell at 7pm ... through the northbound rush-hour traffic on the dreaded I-405! This seemed to set the tone of Chad's level of service and willingness to meet our needs in everyway for the duration of our home search.

Chad's superior command over the development, economic standing, and geography of the East Side and Kent/Renton area, his easy-going, flexible customer service, intelligent sense of humor, and "jack-of-all-trades" knowldege of all things associated with buying (and building!) houses made our entire experience seem enjoyable and well worth our time. I believe in the course of our 4 week search, there was one day in which Chad told us (a week in advance, mind you) he wouldn't really have time to help us out that particular day. It just so happened my wife and I stumbled across a very exciting listing on that same day ... of course! Chad returned our call in 45 minutes and met with us an hour later, despite his other obligations.

He's a master of working his calendar in such a way that we always felt we were his only clients.

The best part ... we didn't find a house! :o) Actually, in all seriousness, that's exactly my point, and I hope it makes everything we're saying ring that much more clearly. We found a house we loved and were thwarted by owners and a listing agent who refused to negotiate or accommodate a reasonable request. Chad agreed with us, tried to make it work for us, but they wouldn't budge and we had to walk.

My wife and I have since made a decision to move out of state, back to where our families live, rather than buy here, so unfortunately, we're moving beyond Chad's reach, but this isn't for lack of service or trying on his part. He was outstanding every step of the way.

We hired a realtor, we searched for four weeks, we didn't find a house, we're still thrilled with our experience! I'm hoping Coldwell Banker Bain realizes the level of that compliment.
